Variable Speed Air Handler
A Variable Speed Fan Motor allows for even coverage in all rooms—regardless of location. This eliminates hot or cold spots in rooms. The motor starts the airflow slowly at first and then gradually picks up speed to entirely heat or cool your house. Not only does the variable speed motor allow the system to start gradually, but it also has the ability to run at a reduced speed, allowing air to continue flowing, even when the heating and cooling system is not working. This permits constant airflow, keeping temperatures consistent throughout the home. Running your motor at this reduced speed is an efficient use of energy, as the motor uses less electricity than a standard light bulb. It costs up to 90% less than multi-speed blowers.
